The sun rises just before 7am this time of year in Niseko Village. Don’t second guess this stop….add it to your bucket list. Mount Yōtei (羊蹄山, Yōtei-zan, literally “sheep-hoof mountain”)  is an active stratovolcano located in Shikotsu-Toya National ParkHokkaidōJapan. Volcano or not, it makes for great power and skiing.

Nite, Nite

Good luck finding this speakeasy buried in the snow…somewhere in the village. The iconic entrance to Niseko’s oldest bar, an old Coke-A-Cola vending machine, gave the unmarked bar its apt nickname ‘The fridge door bar‘.
